Trade Marketing Coordinator Angola

Overall Description

This is a complimentary role to the efforts of the in-market distributor. The incumbent, responsible for a defined geographical region, will work closely with the appointed distributor in Angola and will report to Trade Marketing to assist the distributor in all aspects of territory management, field force deployment decisions. Establish close links with the trade and play an active role in effective execution of agreed consumer and trade programs as well as monitor the implementation of KPI's and competitive activity. Collect relevant market data to help in making informed management decisions

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Program implemntation

Responsible for effective implementation of field programs/marketing activities including merchandising and general promotions. Will monitor progress as well as the quality of materials used and recommend corrective action where necessary. Identifies and recommends potential areas and/or outlets for the purpose of promotional activities.

Relationships

Establish and build superior, mutually beneficial trade relationships within the region (both at distributor and trade level), which result in achieving the highest level of executional excellence.

Territory planning

Assist in territory planning/route and management (including supervision of relevant innovative initiatives in territory and route planning), effective field force deployment decisions, developing, training and motivating personnel in field operations.

Reporting

Produce weekly, monthly reports on ongoing campaigns/programs, pricing and competitor's activities in all major channels including "informal market" together with updated brand boards to evaluate brand market share for brands and competitors.

Volume target

Assist the Trade Marketing department in the formulation of volume targets on an ongoing basis as well as in achieving volume, distribution and merchandising objectives for the market.

Effective use of POSM

Ensures proper use, placement and replacement of POS branded materials, ensures dominance presentations of products at the point of sale in accordance to merchandizing standards.
